Tai Chi and Chronic Pain
Complementary and Alternative Medicine are now being invested from a scientific viewpoint. Hopefully, this analysis will expand and enrich treatment possibilities. Tai Chi is a potential treatment option for chronic pain.
Tai Chi can be valuable in chronic pain management for adaptive exercise, mind-body interaction, and meditation. Unfortunately, the trails examining the health benefit of Tai Chi are low quality, meaning the ability to measure outcomes is limited.
Conditions treated with Tai Chi include: osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, and headache. Of these, Tai Chi seems to be an effective intervention in osteoarthritis, low back pain, and fibromyalgia.
